Prior to the start of the 2008 racing season, Chris Mars primarily designed a new Dirt Late Model chassis - MB Customs - from the ground up. Utilizing several decades of racing knowledge, the staff at Mars Race Cars produced a car that has won numerous high-paying feature events across the country over the last decade-plus of racing. Numerous Lucas Oil and World of Outlaw races have been won at a national level in MB Customs race cars, including Crown Jewel races like the World 100, the USA Nationals, the Dirt Track World Championship, the Show Me 100, the North/South 100 and the Firecracker 100. MB Customs have also been the chassis choice for several rookie contenders who grabbed their first Lucas Oil Late Model Series and World of Outlaw Series victories, while big regional wins have been achieved by drivers in MB Customs from the UMP Summernationals to the former World Dirt Racing League and NDRL, as well as Arizona and Texas Speedweeks, Florida Speedweeks, and the MARS and Corn Belt Clash series.

Starting in 2012, Mars Race Cars branched out and started to build MB Customs Modifieds. Designed by Jimmy Mars, Chris Mars, and A.J. Diemel, the MB Customs Modified has taken the country by storm and has won numerous WISSOTA, USMTS, IMCA, and UMP feature events. National championships have been won with MB Customs in USMTS, USRA and WISSOTA, while an MB Customs Modified has been driven to nearly every major Modified Crown Jewel feature win, whether it is the Modified Masters at Cedar Lake in Wisconsin, the Midwest's WISSOTA 100, the USRA Fall Nationals and Battle at the Border at Vado Speedway Park in Texas, the Wild West Shootout in Arizona, the Gopher 50 and Fall Jamboree in Minnesota, or the Grant Junghans Memorial and King of America in Kansas. Since the chassis design's inception in 2015, drivers who have a race car from the MB Customs Midwest Modified/B Modified chassis line have amassed nearly 800 victories. They've been national champions in WISSOTA, they've made their way to victory lane in landmark USRA races, and they're extremely tough to beat in weekly racing action. Like the Late Models and Modifieds, new and used MB Customs Mid Mod/B Mods are sold as roller-only enterprises, to help drivers avoid the guessing game when trying to pave their path to success.
